But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; They shall mount up on wings like eagles, They shall run but not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31, NKJV

Dear Fellow Parishioners,

As the Parish launches the stewardship campaign for 2026, the Vestry is truly stepping out in faith, knowing that this is a tumultuous time in the world and that the world’s tumult is trickling into many of our lives. In times like these, we need the strength of the LORD more than ever, and I see it manifest in my life through the community in this Parish.

Words cannot truly capture the transformation that our Parish has gone through in the last few years. We went from dwindling attendance a few years ago and fear about the Parish’s longevity to a thriving congregation and vibrant Parish life. All of that has been made possible by your gifts of time, talent, and money, and of course Perry’s ministry with us.

I understand that praying about your pledge in this turbulent economy might seem daunting. I know it is for me and Andy. Uncertainties in the economy, upheaval in the nonprofit sector where I work, and keeping up with the rising cost of living is all very overwhelming. But we are committed to discerning this decision by faith and not by sight, knowing that God will be the wind under our wings.

As you discern your pledge to the Parish for the year 2026, I ask you to spend some time in prayerful reflection on your relationship to the Church. Like a friendship, marriage, or any other relationship, the more you nurture it, the deeper it grows. The more you invest in it, the more you and the community around you will reap from it. You’re always welcome to speak with Perry or anyone in the Vestry about your vision for the Parish, and what we can do to deepen our relationship.

I will end this letter by saying what an inspiration you all are to me and Andy. I see people work tirelessly, growing and building up our Parish every day, and edifying themselves in the process. I know now that it is not from individual strength, but from the strength of God that we show up for our life’s many demands. Thank you for reminding me of that. And thank you for your commitment to our Parish of The Holy Communion.

Your brother in Christ,
Anand Cerillo Sharma
Sr. Warden (2025)

Dear Parishioners,
My name is Wendy Crowe and I am the Chair of the Stewardship Pledge Campaign for 2025. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and ask that you also take a moment and reflect on how the Parish of the Holy Communion has impacted your life. You will hear more about my personal journey and how important this parish has been to me in my growth from just surviving to thriving.

In your personal reflection of how important POHC is to you and your own spiritual growth, it is also very important to remember that without your financial support, our church would not be able to help our parish family individually or the community at large.

I therefore extend an invitation to make a pledge so that our work may continue in helping to support and bless you, as you are then able to support and bless others.

Faithfully,
Wendy Crowe,
Junior Warden (2025)
